The MMS Earth Club’s purpose
is to increase our members’ awareness and involvement in
their school, their community, and the environment. Earth Club
members are involved in a wide variety of activities throughout
the school year. We have planted a prairie garden, bulbs, a tree,
and a butterfly garden on school property.
We are involved in the community
through volunteer projects, such as Helping Hands yard clean-up/leaf
raking for the elderly and cleaning up the Rock River. The Earth
Club members have raised money to purchase trees to be planted
in the Horicon Marsh. There is no cost in being an Earth Club
member due to our successful fund-raising projects.
This is just a few of the projects
and activities our members have accomplished over the past five
years. The MMS Earth Club is open to all students in grades 3
through 8. We usually meet on the first and third Monday of each
month with a few scheduling exceptions.
Expectations and Responsibilities

students will be expected to attend meetings. Students are responsible
for checking the calendar posted in the main hall or the Earth
Club bulletin board for meeting times and special activity updates.
Students are expected to show respect for the advisors and other
members in the group.
