I am truly fortunate to serve as principal at Mayville Elementary School.  Our elementary school is a vibrant learning community that provides meaningful opportunities for students to grow and thrive.  Our dedicated staff focuses on the academic and social growth of each student to best prepare each for her/his future through in person or virtual options.

As you enter our school, you will immediately feel a strong sense of community.  Our school and classrooms provide a safe and nurturing environment to learn. Through engaging activities, students acquire the knowledge and skills needed to participate meaningfully within the World around them and develop individual passions through Academic & Career Planning activities in both the classroom and community that will guide them into their future.

At MES, instruction and grading are target based.  We believe all students can learn and work to transform student thinking around a Growth Mindset.  We engage student learning through re-teaching and personalized interventions giving students multiple opportunities to show proficiency.  To support the development of the whole child, character building and anti-bullying education are a focus of guidance services using Character Strong and Second Step curriculums to provide school-wide instruction.

We are a technology rich 1:1 school offering Chromebooks, interactive boards in each classroom, and the ability to access daily lessons remotely, providing added flexibility to educate and meet student needs when not in the building.

We connect with our parents and community partners and value their input.  We are a school focused on continuous improvement and find open, clear and ongoing communication the center of our improvement work and growth.
