For the 17th year, Mrs. Arleen Peltz spoke to our 8th graders about her husband’s Holocaust survival. Walter Peltz, who passed away in 2001, survived five concentration camps, including Auschwitz. We are so grateful to have her tell Walter's story, bringing to life the education our students are receiving about this period in world history. Our 7th graders in Ms. Perkins' class have been busy learning about Edgar Allan Poe and poetry. They read many of his poems and stories, while learning about his unique writing style. They also completed a Poe WebQuest on his life. To wrap up the unit, students are completing a “Who Killed Edgar Allan Poe” quest. Using an interactive notebook, students will gather evidence, interview suspects, and make a final accusation of who killed Poe and how he died. Just moments ago, we celebrated the Class of 2025 at Ray Dunn Field! Congratulations, graduates! Power has been restored to nearly all of our community, and all of our school buildings are running at 100%. We are set for school on Monday, 5/19!
