Emergency Alerts / Text Messaging Service
The School District of Mayville uses integrations with third party software companies for emergency alerts and district communications with families via SMS text messaging. These services allow Mayville Schools to contact and communicate with family members of Mayville Students through voice, text, and email messaging. Families are automatically signed up for text messaging when they enter a cell phone number during the enrollment process. This provides us a way to communicate school closings, emergency information, and ease of communications. The School District of Mayville does not sell any personal information to third parties.
Mayville School District SMS Program Policy - Direct Message
Program Description
While Mayville Schools does use integrations with other softwares (Parentsquare, Thrillshare) to communicate activities, weather closings, and emergencies via SMS. The Direct Message SMS policy is used to directly communicate with you via SMS message bypassing other platforms and sending you a direct SMS message from our school building offices.
How to Opt-In
Enter your mobile number on the annual enrollment form located here: https://www.mayvilleschools.com/page/residents. Entering a mobile number indicates you would like to enroll in the Mayville School District SMS program.
Message Frequency
Up to 20 messages per month. Frequency may vary.

Message and data rates may apply from your carrier
