Mayville FFA Members: 23 Mayville FFA Members competed in one of seven contests at the Fox Valley Technical College FFA Regional Career Development Contest on Friday, March 27th

Twenty-three members of the Mayville FFA Chapter recently put their skills to the test as they competed in one of seven different events at the Fox Valley Technical College Regional FFA Career Development Events on Friday, March 27th.

The competition brought FFA Members together from across the state of Wisconsin to showcase their knowledge, teamwork, and dedication to agricultural education while serving as the qualifying event for the Wisconsin State FFA State Career Development Events held in late April.

Mayville FFA members demonstrated their commitment and preparation by competing across a wide range of events, highlighting the diversity of opportunities within agricultural education. From technical knowledge to problem-solving and collaboration, students were challenged to apply what they have learned in real-world scenarios. When participating, students develop individual responsibility, foster teamwork, and sharpen communication skills.

With applications of knowledge and skills in milk quality & products evaluation, forestry, nursery & landscape, agronomy, poultry evaluation, veterinary science, and ag sales. These events are designed to reflect the full scope of agricultural education, drawing from classroom instruction, hands-on laboratory experiences, and each student’s supervised agricultural experience projects. As such, the contests serve as a true extension of what students learn throughout the year.

The Mayville FFA Chapter continues to represent its school and community with pride, showcasing the hard work and dedication of its members as they prepare for future success in agriculture and beyond. Regardless of the outcome, these students have demonstrated dedication, leadership, and technical expertise that define the future of the agricultural industry.
