Congrats to our Boys and Girls Track Teams on earning 3rd place finishes on 3/28 at the Watertown Relays! The two teams combined for four 1st place and ten 2nd place finishes! Winning team events included girls pole vault relay (Lydia C., Destiny G., and Helen V.), boys high jump (Emerson M., Braxton W., and Mac L.), boys pole vault (Mac, Owen B., and Joe R.), and the jumps team (Braxton, Emerson and Andy C.). Mac and Emerson also finished 1st and 2nd in both hurdle races. Aubree K. won the individual high jump, and Lydia C. won the pole vault. 👑 Hear Ye, Hear Ye! A Royal Celebration! 👑 Our 5K students wrapped up their ELA unit on kings and queens with a wonderful Royal Celebration prior to the break! The Mayville Track team opened the season with some excellent performances at the 16-school Princeton Invite at Ripon College on Friday, March 20th! Both the boys and girls earned 2nd place team finishes. Individual 1sts went to Emerson M. in the high jump and Mac L. in the high hurdles. Emerson also came in 2nd in the high hurdles and Mac earned 2nd in the pole vault. Braxton W. was 2nd in the 60-meter and teamed up with Emerson, Mac and Andy C. for 2nd in the 800 relay. Aubree K. was 2nd in the high jump and 3rd in the 400. She also teamed with Lydia C., Sidney D., and Helen V. for 3rd in the 1600 relay. Sidney was 3rd in the 1600, and ran with Samara H., Bella W., and Crystall M. for 2nd in the 3200 relay. Mayville had 35 efforts better than at last year’s meet. PTO Sports Equipment Drive!! Start your "Spring Cleaning" early by donating your gently used sports gear and equipment to the Mayville PTO! Balls, Bats, Gloves, Racquets, Helmets, Kids Soccer Goals, Plastic Bases, etc., as well as gently used winter gear (coats, hats, gloves, boots, etc.), gently used clothing sizes 5T-Adult 2X, and gym shoes.
