We raised a total of $7,500 in ONE DAY! $7,075 will be added to our playground fund and $425 went back to 12 of our students for personal referrals! WAY TO GO! Congratulations to Thalia M. and Keana F. for their amazing performances at the State FFA Convention held at the Alliant Energy Exhibition Hall earlier this week! These FFA members were selected to the Wisconsin FFA Honors Band and performed at the 92nd Wisconsin FFA State Convention. Mr. Cooney (center) helped our students every step of the way, from helping prepare and record their audition recordings to finding his way to Madison to cheer them on during their last performance of the convention. Recent graduates Cora G., Tanner H., and Dalton L. received their Wisconsin FFA State Degrees on Wednesday, July 7th at the Wisconsin FFA State Convention. This is the highest honor and recognition given from Wisconsin FFA. These accomplished young adults join 160 other former Mayville FFA Members who have earned this degree. Our summer meals delivery schedule will change slightly for the week of July 5-9th. In observance of Independence Day our Food Service team is not working on Monday, July 5th, so meals will be delivered Tuesday, July 6th and Thursday, July 8th. MHS seniors took part in the annual Cap & Gown Walk at Parkview and MMS this afternoon! Students from both buildings lined the playgrounds to congratulate our graduates and wish them well in their future endeavors! Many shouts went out as our teachers recognized former students and our younger students recognized siblings, family friends, babysitters, youth mentors, coaches and more! Alliant Energy has communicated an estimated full power status by 9:00 am.
FULL-TIME and PART-TIME CUSTODIANS WANTED! The School District of Mayville is in need of full-time and part-time custodians. Qualifications are: High school diploma or (GED) required; Previous custodial experience preferred but will train the right person; Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions; Ability to work with minimum supervision; Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds; Able and comfortable squatting, twisting, bending, and kneeling while doing custodial work; Ability to operate and care for custodial equipment and supplies. Hours are second shift Monday thru Friday. Starting pay is between $14.00 -$18.50 per hour based on experience. Position starts as soon as possible.
