Our Mayville musicians had a successful showing at our MHS-hosted Vocal and Instrumental Solo Ensemble district-level event on Saturday, 2/26. In total we have 28 events going to State! The combined festival had 55 events go to State from 9 Schools, and our Mayville Cardinals are responsible for over half of them! This sets a record for the number of musicians we’ve sent to State! Overall results included 28 Starred Firsts (State-bound), 10 Class A Firsts, 12 Class A Seconds, 2 Class B Firsts and 4 Class B Seconds. SHOW CHOIR SEASON UPDATE! Our Mayville Cardinal Singers and Show Choir Band have impressive each week, working to improve at every turn based on feedback received at past performances! Our group won Best Crew at Monona Grove, had a Best Duet at Fort Atkinson, and came in 3rd with multiple caption awards in West Liberty, IA! They will compete in one more competition at Green Bay Southwest on 3/12, and they’ll host the Annual Finale Concert at the Schauer Center in Hartford on 4/3. Tickets available soon!
